US Supreme Court keeps immigration limits in place indefinitely

Washington: The Supreme Court is keeping the pandemic-era limit on immigration on hold indefinitely, dashing the hopes of immigration advocates who anticipate its end this week.
In a ruling Tuesday, the Supreme Court extended a temporary stay issued last week by Chief Justice John Roberts. As per the court’s order, the case will be taken up for trial in February and the stay will remain in force till the judge decides the matter.
