US, Japan unveil plans to strengthen the alliance

Washington: Top US and Japan national security officials unveiled plans on Wednesday to strengthen the alliance to help combat threats from North Korea and China, which they described as the region’s biggest challenges.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the agreement reflects the two countries’ efforts to deepen cooperation “in all areas”, including space, cyber security and emerging technologies.
