UP CM offered Ganga and Kabul river water at Ayodhya temple site

Ayodhya/Lucknow, 31 October

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday offered water from the Ganges and Kabul river in Afghanistan at the site where Lord Ram’s temple is being built in Ayodhya.

“A girl from Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, had sent water from Kabul river to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be offered at the site where a huge temple of Lord Ram is being built,” the chief minister said.

Adityanath said that it has been decided that holy rivers from all over the world will be offered water at the temple construction site and this girl from Kabul has displayed an exemplary sense of devotion.

Despite the situation in Afghanistan after the takeover of Kabul by the Taliban, respecting the sentiments of the girl who sent water, “I have come to Ayodhya to offer water from the Kabul River and the Ganges to the ‘Nirman Sthal’ (construction site). Ram Mandir “, They said.

The Chief Minister said that he had sent water to Ayodhya as a part of his rich religious sentiment attached to the temple.

Earlier, while talking to reporters in Lucknow, Adityanath appreciated the girl’s gesture.

After the talks, he left for Ayodhya in a helicopter to carry the Kabul river water along with the Ganges at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple site.

The gesture becomes even more important because with the Taliban coming to power in Afghanistan, women’s freedom has been curtailed and “in such a situation the girl’s gesture of sending water to the Ram temple is worthy of praise”. Chief Minister said.

He said the Ayodhya temple has international appeal and people of different religions have expressed their sentiments in favor of it in different countries.

Adityanath has already said that 12 lakh “diyas” (earthen lamps) collected from all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh will be lit as part of Diwali in Ayodhya. -PTI
