*UP SIT in Lakhimpur case will consider names of former SC or HC judges for day-to-day monitoring of investigation, says top court.

*SC seeks names of IPS officers who belong to the UP cadre but are not the natives of the state, to be included in the SIT to probe the Lakhimpur case.

*SC seeks names of IPS officers by Tuesday; Post the case for the announcement of the name of the judge to oversee the investigation on Wednesday.

*UP agrees that the former judge should be considered to oversee the investigation and that their state should not be an issue. PTI
