Udaipur murder case: NIA searches premises of accused

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday searched the premises of the accused in the Udaipur murder case.

“During the searches conducted today at the premises of the accused and suspects in the case, digital devices (mobile phones, laptops and SIM cards) and other incriminating material were seized,” the NIA said in a statement.

Sources said searches were conducted at nine places.

The case pertains to the murder of tailor Kanhaiyalal Teli for allegedly sharing his remarks made on June 28. BJP‘s Nupur Sharma on the Prophet. The two attackers, identified as Ghaus Mohammad and Riyaz Attari, were arrested by the Rajasthan Police on the same day.
