Five IAS officers have tested positive COVID-19 Official sources said ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat summit.
The officers who have been infected include Additional Chief Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department Manoj Agarwal, Health Commissioner Jai Prakash Shivhare, Principal Secretary of Finance Department JP Gupta, Municipal Commissioner Rajkumar Beniwal and Dholera Chief Executive Officer Harit Shukla. The state government has ordered the remaining officers in the secretariat to undergo a COVID test and also restricted entry to the chief minister’s office in Gandhinagar. Only those holding a COVID vaccination certificate are allowed to enter.
The government has already directed all staff members and officers to take a second dose of vaccination.
