Police services from cities in eastern Ontario joined forces for a massive campaign called “Project Shamrock”. human trafficking investigation.

Kingston Police, Ottawa Police Service, Peterborough Police Service And OPP Digital Forensics were involved in this process.

The investigation led to 76 charges against a Kingston man.

Police say they initially knew of 10 victims, but investigations soon uncovered additional victims, adding to the list of charges.

Michael Mark Haima, 38, has been accused of:

  • sexual assault, 18 counts
  • Accessing child pornography illegally, on five counts
  • Receiving sexual services for consideration, counts four
  • Forced imprisonment, four counts
  • Attack, three counts
  • Harassment by seeing and besieging
  • Overcome the resistance to a crime/attempt to strangle, on three counts
  • criminal harassment by communication
  • Sexual assault with choking, four counts
  • Threatening death or bodily harm, on four counts
  • compulsion to be cruel
  • $5,000. prank under
  • Invitation to sexual touch, on two counts
  • Sexual interference, on two counts
  • Purchase of person under 18 years of age
  • trafficking of a person under the age of 18
  • Receiving sexual services for consideration under 18, on four counts
  • overcoming resistance to sexual assault
  • sexual assault that causes bodily harm
  • Temptation for an invitation to sexual touch
  • The lure of making child pornography
  • Serious sexual assault, two counts
  • Creating child pornography, on two counts
  • Providing child pornography, two meanings
  • Possessing child pornography, on three counts

Haima is being taken into custody. Police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information can contact the OPP’s non-emergency number 1-888-310-1122 or their local police.
