they’re warming our hearts Christmas For years now. And it seems that age-old classics remain our movie favorites when we settle down in front of the TV with hot chocolate or mulled wine.

Frank Capra’s It’s a Wonderful Life from 1946 and 1992 included The Muppet Christmas Carol by White Christmas from 1954 in the Radio Times’ annual ‘Best Christmas Film’ poll of readers.

Die Hard, which is often questioned as a Christmas film, finished fourth, while Elf and Home Alone rounded out the top five.

The list was judged by over 3,000 Radio Times readers, who were asked to vote for their favorites from a shortlist compiled by the publication.

This included classics like Miracle on 34th Street and White Christmas, as well as Happiest Seasons and new films like the Netflix original Klaus and The Christmas Chronicles.
