Texas brothers thrashed stepfather who was accused of sexually assaulting sister, police say

HIdalgo County, Texas (KTRK) – A Texas man who was investigated by authorities for sexually assaulting a child was allegedly beaten to death by three teenagers, two of whom were his stepson. Yes, say the police.

Police in Faro, which is based in the Rio Grande Valley in south Texas, this week announced the arrests of 18-year-old Alejandro Trevino, 17-year-old Christian Trevino, and 18-year-old Juan Eduardo Melendez. City Police Chief Andy Harvey identified Alejandro and Christian as the stepson of Gabriel Quintanilla, whose body was found on January 20 by a farmer in an open field.

According to Harvey, Quintanilla had been in a national database since 2019, when another minor claimed that he sexually assaulted her between 2014 and 2016. Quintanilla has been on the run from the authorities until his body is found.

“The spies went out looking for Quintanilla at the time and couldn’t find her. They searched. They went to her last known residence. They went to her mother’s house several times,” Harvey told a news conference Wednesday afternoon.

KRGV The report said police said the juvenile suspects thrashed Quintanilla to death after hearing that he had allegedly abused his 9-year-old family member.

Police previously reported that Christian and Juan were being charged with murder, while the three teenagers were being charged with family violence and involvement in organized criminal activity. KRGV,

No case has been registered against the mother till Tuesday night. Three teens are lodged in the Hidalgo County Jail.
