Taking BSP leaders into her party will only weaken the SP: Mayawati – India Times Hindi News

LUCKNOW: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Sunday said taking BSP into its fold will not help the Samajwadi Party (SP) to increase its support base and will only weaken it. Mayawati’s statement came hours after SP chief Akhilesh Yadav included Lalji Verma and Ramchal Rajbhar in his party in his ‘Mandesh Maharli’ in Ambedkarnagar district on Sunday.

Both the leaders were earlier expelled by the BSP for anti-party activities. Mayawati said in several Hindi tweets that her joining the SP will weaken the SP and affect the party workers. The SP should know that ticket-seekers are going to anger their own workers for such selfish parties in their court, many of whom are in touch with the BSP. He said that these people are going to cause a lot of damage to the party from inside during the elections. He also advised his party workers and said that they should avoid taking tickets to disgruntled members of other parties and give preference only to their fellow party workers. In the 2017 UP assembly elections, Lalji Verma won from Katehari seat, while Ramchal Rajbhar won from Akbarpur assembly constituency. Prior to his expulsion from the party, Verma was the leader of the BSP legislature party in the state assembly, and Rajbhar was the state BSP chief.
