Eleven civilian and four Indian Air Force (IAF) flights will return to India on Saturday along with Indians from Ukraine’s neighboring countries, the Civil Aviation Ministry said on Friday.
On Saturday, 11 civil flights are expected to bring back more than 2,200 Indians, of which 10 will land in Delhi and one in Mumbai, the ministry statement said.
The statement did not say how many Indians would be on the four Indian Air Force flights.
India is evacuating its citizens from Ukraine’s western neighbors such as Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland through special flights as Ukrainian airspace has been closed since February 24 due to Russian military strikes.
On Friday, 14 civilian and three Indian Air Force flights brought back 3,772 Indians, the statement said.
