Oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region damaged in Ukraine drone strike, officials say

The Slavyansk oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region was damaged in a Ukraine drone strike, local officials said Saturday.

There were a total of nine attacks on tank farms and distillation columns, Roman Siniagovsky, the head of the Slavyansk administrative district, said on Telegram.

“The tank farm was not damaged due to the organized security system. The distillation column was. The fire was eliminated by the joint efforts of the responsible services,” Siniagowski said.

Local emergency services said a fire broke out in a small area of ​​the refinery, which was later extinguished.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said on Saturday that its air defense units intercepted and destroyed 66 Ukrainian drones in the area of ​​the Krasnodar Territory, and destroyed two others on the Crimean Peninsula.
