SPA – Kuwait:
An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale struck southwest Ahmadi yesterday.
The supervisor of the Kuwait National Network for Seismic Monitoring at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, Dr. Abdullah Al-Aniji, reported that the network had yesterday recorded an earthquake of 5 on the Richter scale and a depth of 5 km in the ground. To the south-west of Ahmadi, it shows that the earthquake was felt by many citizens and residents across the country.
The Kuwait General Fire Service said the Central Operations Department did not record any damage from the quake, but there were only reports to inquire about its source.
