Microsoft has started rolling out a new update for its keyboard app Swift Key to integrate features with Cloud Clipboard. The new Cloud Clipboard allows users to copy and paste text between Android and Windows devices.
NS SwiftKey Keyboard version 7.9.0.5 is now available for Android devices via Google Play Store. To use the new feature, users need to set SwiftKey as their default keyboard app and have the latest version installed. Once installed, users can now copy and paste text between Android and Windows and vice versa. Users will also need a Windows machine running Windows 10 October 2018 Update or newer.
As already mentioned, the update is currently rolling out for the Android version of the keyboard and there is no official word from the company regarding the addition. iOS version.
The feature is turned off by default and users will need to enable it manually to use the feature.
Steps to Enable SwiftKey Cloud Clipboard Feature
To enable it, open the Keyboard app’s Settings and tap on the Rich Input option. Then tap on Clipboard and enable Sync clipboard history to the cloud.
That’s all, Cloud Sync to Clipboard is now enabled.
On Windows PC, go to Settings -> System -> Clipboard -> Toggle on Clipboard History – Toggle sync across devices.
