Toronto Police They are said to be searching for a man wanted in connection with an investigation into an attack on a TTC subway station in Scarborough in late June.
A 49-year-old man was smoking outside the Victoria Park subway station at around 3:35 pm on June 27, police said.
Investigators said there was a brief verbal conversation between the smoker and the suspect.
Police said the suspect assaulted the 49-year-old man “multiple times”.
Police said the victim was taken to a hospital in serious condition, but was later released.
Investigators said they are still searching for the suspect.
He is described as medium sized with dark wavy hair. He was wearing a blue and white horizontal striped shirt, blue jeans and brown runners with white soles. He had also carried a cellphone along with headphones.
A security camera image of the suspect was released by police.
