Minneapolis (WCCO) Two medal-winning Olympians from Minnesota returned home with great fanfare on Thursday.
St Paul’s gymnast Sunissa Lee and Istanty’s Grace McCallum were greeted at MSP airport with cheers, applause and chants of “USA”.
Lee, the first Hmong-American Olympian, brought home the gold medal In the women’s all-round competition in Tokyo. She also won bronze on the uneven bars.

Lee and McCallum helped lead the United States to a silver medal in the team competition.
Government Tim Walz and St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter gave lee his day After winning the gold medal. Carter said Lee’s hometown would hold a parade for him on Sunday.
