Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but police say the driver did not stop.
Police gave chase but lost sight of the vehicle in a subdivision in Port Hope.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., police say emergency crews responded to a report of a pickup truck crashing into a residential home in the area of Victoria Street South and Strachan Street. No one was reported to be injured.
Durham Police said, “The suspect fled on foot into a greenspace.” “With the assistance of two K-9 units, a search of the area was conducted. It was learned that the suspect was picked up by another vehicle in the area.
The suspect is described as a man in his mid-20s who was approximately six feet two inches tall.
