Steven Spielberg, Rachel Ziegler mock their lack of experience on ‘West Side Story’ – Bhaskar Live English News – India Times English News

Los Angeles, Nov 20 | “West Side Story” director Steven Spielberg and actress Rachel Ziegler scoffed at her lack of experience as she makes her big screen debut with their first musical.

She told Total Film magazine: “I’m pretty sure the music-esque work she’s done is ‘Anything Goes’ in ‘Temple of Doom’! Whenever we read about Spielberg’s music – from skeptics – I’m like, ‘This is one of the most incredible movie ever!’

“But we definitely had a conversation. I’d never done a film before. And he’d never done music before. We’ll joke that we’re going to teach each other how it’s done!”

As femalefirst.co.uk reports, Ziegler found stepping onto the set for her first film role a “terrible experience”.

However, seeing the film as a whole made him realize that the finished product was “awesome”.

She continued: “I mean, it was an absolutely terrible experience for me at the moment. But I’ve seen the finished product now. And I’m not scared anymore, which is great. That’s a huge compliment to Steven. We just did Did what we could and did the best we could do is awesome.”
