Statistics Canada to release GDP figures for September, Q3 – National | Globalnews.ca

statistics canada will issue his latest reading on Economic Development Tuesday morning.

The federal agency is due to release GDP figures for September and the third quarter.

Statistics Canada’s preliminary estimate for the third quarter shows the economy grew by 0.4 per cent.

This is in contrast to an increase of 0.8 per cent in the second quarter of this year.

In a client note, RBC says residential investment likely fell in the third quarter, along with other business investments as the economic outlook weakened.

Higher interest rates from the Bank of Canada are expected to further reduce economic growth in the fourth quarter and into 2023.
