Environment Canada is warning of rain, solidify Rain, high winds and even snow are possible across southern Ontario on Thursday night.

The weather agency issued a series of special weather statements on Tuesday evening.

An advisory has been issued for Toronto warning of possible heavy rain – up to 25 millimeters on Thursday evening. It said that strong winds of up to 90 km/h were also in the forecast.

“Briefly freezing rain is possible from the Great Lakes to inland areas Thursday morning,” the advisory said.

Another special statement issued for the Kingston and Prince Edward region described similar weather. “Rain will turn into rain by Thursday evening,” it said.

Further north, in the Muskoka region, wind gusts of about 80 km/h are expected.

“Travelling conditions may become hazardous due to icy and slippery roads and walkways,” the advisory said.

Parts of northern Ontario, including Sault Ste. Snow is also being advised for Mary.
