Oliver Fire Department says it responded to two fires at the same address this week.

On a social media post, the fire department says crews were dispatched to a structure fire along Harmony Crescent early Tuesday morning.

Crews reported a heavy fire, but the call did not appear suspicious, with the fire department saying all residents were evacuated safely.

The next day, at 5:42 a.m., the fire department was called again to the same address.

However, this time, when crews arrived, the house was completely engulfed in flames.

“The second fire has been treated as suspicious in nature and the RCMP has been notified,” the fire department said. It said a crew remained at the home for several hours to monitor a possible fire.

“Upon believing that the fire was completely extinguished and there was no sign of smoldering debris,” it said, “crews left the scene.”
