Sawant told reporters that looking at the opinion of doctors and Goa Director General of Police (DGP) Jaspal Singh, it appears that he died of a heart attack.

However, Phogat’s brother Rinku Dhaka alleged that shortly before his death, Phogat had spoken to his mother, sister and brother-in-law, during which he harassed and complained against two of his associates.

Rinku told that when the family reached Goa, it came to know that the shooting of the film has not been done. He alleged that Sudhir murdered Sonali along with Sukhwinder while hatching a political conspiracy to grab her property. Sudhir switched off his phone and Sonali’s phone after informing the family about her death.

He also claimed that CCTV cameras, laptops and other important things from his farmhouse in Haryana have disappeared after his death.
