Parts of Ontario around Barrie are set for a breath of fresh air and snow squalls On Monday, it continued till night.

Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for Barrie, Orilla, Midland, Grey-Bruce and Parry Sound-Muscoqua.

“Under the snow squall band, heavy snow will reduce visibility significantly, and snow will accumulate quickly,” the warning said.

It said thunderstorms and localized thunderstorms were expected during the day and into the night on Monday.

Due to heavy snowfall and low visibility, a total of 15 to 25 cm of snow could fall.

“Travel is expected to be hazardous due to low visibility in some places,” Environment Canada said. “If visibility drops while driving, slow down, watch the taillights ahead and be prepared to stop.”
