The Vancouver Park Board said Monday that it was forced to close an area of Strathcona Park due to “sink holes caused by aging infrastructure.”
The closure affects the park’s tennis courts, with several roads directly adjacent to them.
Metal fencing and temporary barriers were installed in the park on Monday.
The board said a “temporary fix” had been completed, but that staff were still investigating a more permanent solution.
Anyone wishing to play tennis is being redirected to the nearest court at Andy Livingstone Park.
