In the latest development, the CTD said that one of the two suspects is the brother of the late Mahar’s wife, who had confessed during interrogation that he had received instructions and money from both his sisters to kill him.

According to the suspect, Mahar used to treat his wife harshly and she was annoyed by his behaviour. He told the police that his sister gave him Rs 220,000 to carry out the work which helped him arrange a bike and a pistol.

She claimed that her younger sister’s husband had arranged for another man, who was paid Rs 40,000.

The CTD said in its statement that the suspect had also spent a night in a hotel after reconnaissance of his target the day before the murder.

The CTD statement said, “On the day of the incident, the victim’s wife informed her brother after Mahar had dropped her child to school. Thereafter, Mahar was found to be his wife’s brother and his accomplice on the bike.” targeted.”

It said that while several raids were conducted to arrest the suspects, further investigation was underway as law enforcers were searching for other suspects as well. Mahar’s wife and her sister are yet to be taken into custody.
