Sidhu Musewala murder case: Sandeep, nephew of SAD leader Nirmal Singh Kahlon, arrested by CIA

Sandeep Singh Kahlon, nephew of Akali leader Nirmal Singh Kahlon, whose name was involved in the killing of Sidhu Musewala, was arrested by the CIA on Saturday. He is the Panchayat Officer in Hargobindpur, Gurdaspur.

Sandeep, a resident of Gurdaspur district, went into hiding in June when his name surfaced in the murder of Sidhu Musewala. Police said he has links with gangsters Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Lawrence Bishnoi.

Sandeep’s alleged role in Moosewala’s murder came to light when Ludhiana police arrested Ajnala-based horse trader Satbir Singh, who, along with Mandeep Toofan of Batala and Manpreet Mani of Amritsar, was arrested for killing Moosewala from Ludhiana-based transporter Baldev Choudhary in Bathinda. During interrogation, Satbir reportedly told the police that ten days before Moosewala’s murder, Sandeep had sent him to Bathinda to drop Mani and Toofan where Baldev had delivered the weapons to them. A few days after the singer was killed, Sandeep called Satbir and said that Moosewala was murdered by his gang members and that he should now be on alert.

Sandeep also gives Satbir a .315 bore pistol for his protection and assures that he is in the process of arranging a fake passport for him, Mani and Toofan, so that they can flee abroad.
