The story tells the story of a worried director (RK), who has just finished shooting for his new film. Things take a turn when he receives a disturbing call from the editing room stating that the protagonist of the film is missing from the film negative. Promising to be a comedy-thriller, the story unfolds a quirky behind-the-scenes twist in the cinematic world where RK and his team wander to find the protagonist.
RK/RKY Marks Mallika SherawatAfter a long gap, he is back on the big screen. He had earlier shared the teaser of the film on his Instagram account, “I have worked in so many films but this is the first time that the hero of our film has gone !!! #Rk/#Rkay on 22nd July 2022 Releasing in theatres.”
The film is produced by Priyanshi Films (Priyam Srivastava and Harshita Karkare) and stars Mallika Sherawat, Kubra Sait, Ranvir Shorey, Manu Rishi Chadha, Chandrachur Rai, Abhijit Deshpande, Abhishek Sharma, Grace Girdhar and others. Vaishali Malhara is in the lead role.
RK/Rkay is written and directed by Rajat Kapoor.
The film has been screened at several international film festivals, including the Shanghai International Film Festival, River to River Film Festival, Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, and Austin Film Festival. The film will release in July 2022 this year.
