Security was tightened in the national capital ahead of the 73rd Republic Day celebrations on Wednesday with security agencies warning the police about the danger of drone strikes in the national capital. In view of the danger, the police have installed anti-drone system and started searching for the suspects.

According to sources, security agencies have warned the police about the danger of drone strikes in the national capital. Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana has also given information regarding security in the capital.

Sources said that the intelligence department has asked the police to keep a watch on the drone vendors.

The police have said that it is following the SOP regarding drones issued by the Centre, according to which the national capital has been divided into three zones.

The first zone is the Green Zone, which is on the outskirts of Delhi. The second is Yellow, in which drones can be flown with some restrictions.

Drones are completely banned in the Red Zone. However, keeping in mind the Republic Day and other such important occasions, there is a complete ban on flying drones in Delhi on such occasions.

According to the police, the risk of terrorist attacks in Delhi is high on special occasions, even though the national capital is generally seen as a target of terrorists.

Recently, a bomb was found at the gate of Ghazipur Phool Mandi, in which Pakistan’s connections are visible. Now the police has received information that some suspicious people from Jammu have left for Delhi by road. Police has started searching for such people. Intelligence agencies have given this information to the police.

According to the police, the police is not taking any laxity regarding the security. Security has been checked on 26 parameters on the occasion of Republic Day.

Anti-drone system and facial recognition system have also been installed.

On Tuesday itself, posters of suspected terrorists have been put up in many areas of Delhi, including the Hanuman temple at Connaught Place.
