Strange cloud formations are known as mammatus. Commenting on the video, Netzin described the clouds as “marshmallow”, “cotton wool” and “freaky”.

Some said the uncanny resemblance of a cloud to cotton balls, others said it looked like a sighting of another planet.the ancients probably got scared when they first saw this lol

These clouds are usually associated with thunderstorms. They indicate the arrival of heavy rain, lightning and even hail.

This, of course, is not the first cloud formation to impress netizens. Earlier, a picture of a wavy cloud forming in the sky of the United States had created a flutter on the internet.
