The Common University Entrance Test, or CUET-UG, will be conducted in two phases from July 15 to August 10, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced last week.

As per the data released by NTA, for the first phase of the entrance exam, more than 8 lakh students registered for CUET, which means around 16,000 students cannot find the exam center in their preferred city.

Addressing the concerns over the delay in admit cards, Kumar said that admit cards are being issued three to four days before the examination to ensure that there is good security in the entire process of conducting the computer-based examination. He also added that “It is a common practice in all the exams conducted by NTA, be it JEE Mains or NEET. We usually issue the admit card four days before the exam.

Additionally, noting that students have less time to prepare in the form of additional travel and other logistical constraints between NEET and CUET-UG (Phase 1), Kumar said that the candidates who have appeared in Physics, Chemistry or have opted for Biology, they will be allotted exam dates. The second phase between August 4 and August 10.

Kumar also said that since the NTA has already released the city information slip for the candidates of both the phases, “there is no need to worry and I appeal to the students not to panic about it as around 97-98 Percentage candidates will get. His favorite city, and the rest will surely get second choice”.

He also reiterated that the syllabus for CUET-UG will be limited to the class 12 syllabus.
