According to Sardar Imtiyaz, advisor to the AJK president, the invitation for the meeting on behalf of the President was extended to 30 parliamentary party members by him and some MPs, except for the remaining two members – Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi and senior minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas. .

However, a press release issued by the President’s Office made it clear that only 17 had accepted the invitation, while Speaker Chaudhry Anwarul Haque, Vice President Riyaz Gurjar and 11 others, including five ministers and three advisors. kept himself away.

According to the press release, the members of the Parliamentary Party apprised the Speaker about their problems in their constituencies and departments. They also complained that “the Prime Minister was not consulting them and rather ignoring them in matters relating to their respective constituencies”.

Underlining the need to improve the overall performance, President Mahmoud said that “…neither the government has been able to create goodwill among the people nor are our workers satisfied with it”.

Encouraging everyone to carry out their duties to bring about reforms, he said without saying that it was especially obligatory for the AJK Prime Minister to discharge his responsibilities for the much needed reforms so that the government was as per the vision.
