New Delhi: Just hours before the trailer and audio launch of Mani Ratnam starrer ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, netizens are trending the hashtag Ponniyin Selvan, PS1 and PS Trailer in anticipation. Fans are also happy with the news that superstars Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan will be attending the audio and trailer launch event. The grand launch will take place today at 6 pm at the Nehru Stadium in Chennai.

‘Ponniyin Selvan: I’ is the first part of the two-part franchise which has been shot on a massive budget of Rs 500 crore. The film’s ensemble cast includes, Chiyan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Lal, and Sobhita Dhulipala, among others. The soundtrack of the film has been composed by AR Rahman, while it has been shot by Ravi Varman. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film is scheduled to hit the theaters on 30 September 2022 and will be the first Tamil film to be screened in IMAX cinemas.
