Priyanka Chopra Jonas celebrated 21 years of our friendship with Lara Dutta. He shared a photo with Lara and his daughter on his Instagram profile.
Priyanka wrote in the caption that theirs is one of “friendship that can pick up at any time”. He also praised Lara’s daughter, Saira, calling her her mother’s “brightest star”.
In the post, Priyanka said that she also misses Pradeep Guha. Film producer and renowned media personality Guha passed away last month.
The full caption read, “21 years and counting.. friendship that can lift at any moment… @larabhupathi and his brightest star. Saira, you must be your mother’s daughter. love you So much love for these ladies. And so many memories. Also missed you #PradeepGuha 🙏️.”
Priyanka and Lara met at the Miss India pageant held in 2000. Lara won the pageant and Priyanka was the runner-up. Clearly, the two have remained close friends for more than two decades.
Lara also won the Miss Universe 2000 crown in the same year. Priyanka won the title of Miss World 2000
After Guha’s death, Priyanka wrote an emotional post. It read, “You were always my forever champion. Your random calls of encouragement, your zest for life and your ambition were something I have always admired immensely. This loss is very personal. I will miss your voice and strength very much.”
