They also released a statement to Harper’s Bazaar magazine, saying: ‘We wish health and healing for Kate and the family.’

In her statement, the Princess of Wales revealed that she was diagnosed with cancer following ‘planned abdominal surgery’ in January.

She said she had delayed making any public announcements so she and her husband Prince William could tell their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

His statement comes amid growing speculation over the princess’s whereabouts in the months following her surgery.
