Precision Maze creates ‘Casey Got There Swagger Back’ crop art in Missouri area after past tribute to Andy Reid

Kansas City, MO (KCTV) — A lifelong Chiefs fan and his team are creating eye-catching crop art and corn mazes, including designs designed to support the Kansas City Chiefs.

Team Precision Mazes Have produced their designs in crop fields across the country for more than 20 years. They use GPS technology and corn field cutting techniques to bring their designs to life.

In 2020, he made a crop art tribute to Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. “Thanks coach!” The design was big news for Big Red. It caught the attention of Sunday Night Football and even caught the eye of coach Andy Reid.

“They gave us a huge compliment,” said Precision Maze owner Rob Stauffer. “He said of course our work was better than the aliens. So, we like to stick to that and we are glad that Coach Reid appreciated our work.

Each letter delivered at Orrick, Moe Field for Tribute was 74 NFL footballs long. Two football fields could fit inside Andy Reid’s hat for the project.

At the start of this football season, Stauffer and his team were looking for new inspiration to support the Chiefs and their fans. “As the season was unfolding, we were like, ‘Okay, we don’t really think this could be the year’ but things changed at the Raiders game.”

That week a teammate showed Patrick Mahomes a video that turned the tide. Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes discuss video after the Raiders game. “I was like I needed to get my swag back,” Mahomes said. “He showed me that video. That was Mojo, the video of the week.”

On the field, Kelsey replayed the video, saying, “Something tells me I’ve got my swagger back. Oh baby!”

Precision Maze produced crop art that read, “Casey Got Their Swagger Back” in an Orrick, Mo. area.

“It seemed as if something new had come to the city. There was buzz. There was an excitement,” Stauffer said. “As the team and the city were returning and hopefully coming back for another Super Bowl trip.”

Stauffer said the Precision Maze team is already working on another KC Sports themed project.

“It’s a way to showcase our ability. It’s a way to show us how we can work with different textures,” Stauffer said. “We’re known for making corn mazes. People consider them to be green crops. It’s one way we can draw and create great pictures in clay. We can do that in sand and snow.”
