Prayagraj Police has released posters of 59 people allegedly involved in the June 10 violence, which will be put up on roads and public places so that they can be identified and arrested, officials said on Wednesday.

He said that the posters will also be circulated on social media platforms.

Ajay Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police, Prayagraj said that we have video and photographic evidence of involvement in stone pelting and other illegal activities on June 10. However, his identity is pending.

The SSP said that we have appealed to the general public to help us in identifying them.

The SSP clarified that the violence had erupted after Friday prayers against the controversial remarks against Prophet Mohammad by ousted BJP office-bearers Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal.

Police have deployed adequate force to prevent a possible recurrence of such incident on Friday. Kumar said the police were also reaching out to prominent clerics and elders of the community to ensure peace.

Meanwhile, the media cell of the police shared information about the items recovered during raids at the house of Javed Ahmed alias Javed Pump, the alleged mastermind of the June 10 violence in Atala here on Wednesday.

Police said they recovered pamphlets from his house appealing to people to gather in large numbers in Atala, the day the violence broke out.

The district administration and police on Sunday demolished a two-storey house which they claimed belonged to Ahmed and was built illegally, but his lawyers and family members said the house was in fact. It was owned and given to him by his wife Parveen Fatima. by his parents before marriage.

The lawyers alleged that the demolition was against the law and neither Ahmed nor his wife ever received a show cause notice.

On Saturday, the Kanpur Development Authority demolished a multi-storey building owned by a close aide of Nizam Qureshi, the alleged mastermind of the June 3 violence in the city.

The Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party have condemned the demolition.

Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind has filed two fresh petitions in the Supreme Court seeking a direction to the Uttar Pradesh government to ensure that no further demolition is carried out without following due process.
