Police warned about searching for suspects in mailboxes – London | globalnews.ca

london ontario police Residents are being reminded to keep an eye on their mailboxes after several incidents in November.

They received several complaints from people through allegedly unlocked mailboxes across the city between November 9 and 23.

When the homeowners were contacted, the suspects reportedly told them they were delivering mail.

Police say some victims reported that new credit cards and bank accounts were opened in their names without their knowledge or consent.

Investigators have obtained photographs of one of the suspects and are seeking the public’s help in identifying him.

Police recommend installing a lockable mailbox and contacting police if you notice someone using your mailbox or receiving suspicious mail.

Anyone with information is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
