Police searching for missing dog walker appealing for third ‘key witness’

Police searching for Nicola Bulley have appealed for a “key 2 witness” who they believe was in the area on the morning of the mother of two’s disappearance.

The witness is a woman who was seen pushing a pram on the morning of Friday 27 January, when Ms Bulley went missing.

Lancashire Police said, “It is believed that the woman who is being questioned may have walked along the river during this time and so detectives want to speak to her and urge her to make contact.”

It comes after family and friends questioned the police theory that the missing dog walker had fallen into a river.

Ms Bulley’s sister Louise Cunningham urged people to “keep an open mind” in a Facebook post because there is “no evidence” that the dog walker fell into the river.

The device was found by dog ​​walkers around 9.35 am near Willow.

The police search has been assisted by specialists and divers from HM Coastguard, Mountain Rescue, and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service – sniffer dogs, drones and police helicopters have been deployed.

Detectives are also working behind the scenes to analyze CCTV and dashcam video, and members of the public have been urged to come forward with footage that may be useful.
