Police say Belleville woman set fire to Taco Bell drive-thru for poor service

BELLEVILLE, Ill. (KMOV.com) — Fast food workers at a Metro East business ducking for cover after the 19-year-old was shot at the drive-thru window on Sunday night.



Amy Gail, 19, of Belleville, is being held on a $1 million bond with a firearm over the aggravated discharge of an inflated battery and firearms charges.

According to Belleville Police, Gail entered Taco Bell’s drive-thru on Carlyle Avenue to order food. Eyewitnesses told police that the 19-year-old had an argument with an employee at the window over her order.

Moments later, Gayle reportedly shot through the window before driving further ahead and firing more shots. One person got minor scratches from flying glass.

Investigators were able to track Gail’s car to a home in the 2100 block of East Belle Avenue, where he was arrested. Evidence of shooting from home has been found.
