Police is investigating A Sudden death in oshawaOnts.
Durham Regional Police said officers are in the area drew street And olive avenue area on Friday for an “ongoing sudden death investigation”.
Police said officers were called to a unit on Drew Street for a health check.
The force said that when officers arrived, a body was found inside a modular home.
Officials would not confirm whether the person was an occupant, or whether anyone else was found in the unit at the time.
However, Global News has confirmed that the victim was a client of Cornerstone, a local organization that helps homeless people find homes.
Modular homes were installed last year. With the hope of getting more people off the road.
To find out how the victim died, the forensic team is collecting evidence after reaching the spot. At present, the police have described the incident as a sudden death.
In a tweet, police asked the public to “please avoid the area”.
