Haryana Police on Sunday named a man as the main accused in the shooting of a newly married woman in Paldi village of Sonepat district on the Uttar Pradesh border.
Police have identified the arrested accused as Sahil, a resident of Sampla, who will be produced before the court on Monday. Police said that two minors have already been arrested on charges of conspiracy in this case.
The case pertains to the shooting of a woman allegedly by unidentified assailants hours after the wedding on Wednesday night. According to reports, the newly wed victim, her husband and brother-in-law were on their way to their home in Bhali Anandpur village of Rohtak in Haryana when the alleged incident took place. The victim has sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at Rohtak PGI.
