Lahore: A “conspiracy” of the PML-N is behind former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s fake coronavirus vaccine entry, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communications Shahbaz Gill said on Saturday.

Addressing a press conference, the Special Assistant said that there was a conspiracy to defame the country’s coronavirus database.

Gill claimed that the plan was hatched by PML-N Deputy Speaker Maryam Nawaz and a group of members of the Punjab Assembly and the MPA held a person named Naveed responsible for the act.

“Naveed is a resident of Shad Bagh, a locality in Lahore and his entire family is a supporter of PML-N,” the special assistant said.

Gill further said that the Kot Khwaja Saeed Hospital in Lahore, where the false entry was made, falls under the constituency of Imran Nazir and Chaudhry Shahbaz of the PML-N.

Chaudhry Shahbaz used his influence to hire Adil Rafiq – on suspicion of being involved in the case. Gill said, ‘MPA Chaudhary Shahbaz will have to answer this.

The Special Assistant said that the social media account of the MPA is full of pictures of him posting with the MPA of the PML-N. “The cancer of corruption has spread to every institution,” he said.

Going round to Naveed, Gill said that he had fled to Germany and the government would work to bring him back.

The PML-N had a plan under which they appointed their men in institutions, the Special Assistant alleged, “Indian media highlighted the issue to defame Pakistan.”

On Wednesday, 22 September, a mock coronavirus vaccine entry was made in the National Immunization Management System (NIMS) using Nawaz’s name at the Government Kot Khwaja Saeed Hospital in Lahore.

According to the fake entry, Nawaz, who is currently in London, received his first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine Sinovac at 4:03 pm on Wednesday at the hospital.

‘Fake vaccines, fake cases’

Responding to Gill’s remarks, PML-N leader Talal Chowdhury said, “Not only was Nawaz Sharif’s name used for fake vaccines, but fake cases were also made against him.”

The PML-N leader said that Gill accuses Maryam of increasing her political stature. “Whatever is fake in the country has been brought by PTI – a fake leader, a fake change and a fake government.”

Meanwhile, PML-N Punjab spokesperson Azam Bukhari questioned PTI’s claims of making changes in official records of Maryam when she was in power. “If the PML-N is really as powerful as it is today, you should pack your bags and go home,” he told the government.

Punjab government suspends health officials

The Punjab government has suspended the Medical Superintendent (MS) of Lahore Hospital and a senior doctor in the case of fake vaccine entry.

The suspended officers have been directed to report to the health department immediately.

In addition, cases were registered against three other hospital staff, out of which two were arrested.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the police have registered separate cases in this regard.

According to the FIA ​​Cyber ​​Crime Wing, watchman Abul Hasan and ward boy Adil used the ID of third employee Naveed to enter a fake entry of former prime minister Nawaz into the system.

Police have registered a case against the three suspects and arrested Abul Hasan and Adil.

In addition, the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has summoned the Punjab Health Secretary to Islamabad in response to the development.

Report submitted to CM Buzdar

Provincial health officials also prepared a report regarding the dispute and shared it with Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, highlighting lapses in the hospital’s monitoring and supervision systems.

“Four hospital staff admitted to making bogus entry of Nawaz Sharif’s data,” the report said, adding that no senior staff was posted at the health facility and that the management took steps to update the records. was authorized for the lower level employees.

The Primary and Secondary Health Department of Punjab took cognizance of the incident and wrote a letter to the FIA ​​asking it to investigate the matter and take necessary action against the culprits.
