PM Modi will inaugurate the first Global Innovation Summit for the pharmaceutical sector on 18 November.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the first Global Innovation Summit in the pharmaceutical sector on November 18, 2021 at 4:00 PM via video conferencing, a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office said.

It is a unique initiative that aims to bring together key Indian and international stakeholders from government, industry, academia, investors and researchers to discuss and strategize priorities for fostering a thriving innovation ecosystem in the pharmaceutical industry in India. . ,

It will also highlight the opportunities in the Indian pharma industry that have immense growth potential. The two-day summit will have 12 sessions and over 40 national and international speakers will deliberate on a range of topics including regulatory environment, funding for innovation, industry-academic collaboration and innovation infrastructure.

It will see participation from leading members, executives, investors and researchers from the domestic and global pharma industries from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, John Hopkins Institute, IIM Ahmedabad and other reputed institutions.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will also be present on this occasion.
