Plane crash caught on video after Winnie Rice Festival parade

WINNIE, Texas (KTRK) – A small-town celebration was disrupted Saturday morning when a plane crashed on a Chambers County highway, and it was captured on video.

According to the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office, it happened on Highway 124 after the Winnie Rice Festival Parade.

Officials said the small single-engine plane was on its way back from the parade to the airport when it collided with a light pole and crashed on the pavement.

The sheriff’s office said the pilot was not seriously injured and that no one else on the ground was hurt.
