a man from Edgeonts, have been arrested and charged after a human trafficking Police said the investigation spread across the country.

Peel Regional Police said its vice unit wanted a 45-year-old man on charges of exercise control, advertising sexual services, assault and breach of undertaking.

Peel Police said the investigation began in July 2022, with prostitution investigations ongoing in several provinces.

Police said they believe there may be more survivors.

“Investigators have identified a youth survivor and a male suspect,” police said. A Canada-wide arrest warrant was issued.

Peel police said that in October, the suspect – James Munday – and a young survivor were located in British Columbia. He was “returned” to Peel Region and appeared at the Brampton Courthouse.

The investigation continued after Munde returned to Peel and was arrested in February. He was accused of several crimes including child pornography, human trafficking and sexual assault.

“Investigators from the SEB Vice Unit believe there may be further victims of prostitution offenses and witnesses to this investigation,” police said.
