All Regional Passport Offices (RPOs) in Mumbai will remain open for processing passport applications on Saturday, December 3 from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, as there has been an increase in demand for appointments.

As per the official statement issued by RPO Mumbai, the appointment booking window was opened on the official passport website on Wednesday. “The new appointments can be booked by filling the online form at https://www.passportindia.gov.in/ and the payment can be made online from November 30, 2022,” it reads.

How to book an appointment

Applicants are required to login to the Passport Seva Online Portal to verify payment status and schedule appointments. They can check the confirmation of appointment on the portal.

Applicants who have missed their earlier appointments or have made appointments on a later date can reschedule the appointments for Saturday. However, they can reschedule only once.

Passport offices in Pune will remain open on Saturday as well. “On 3rd December 2022, all Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) and Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs) under Regional Passport Office, Pune will remain open for applicants,” said an official statement.

Passport Seva Kendras to remain open under 20 RPOs: Center

In view of the increase in demand for appointments, the Ministry of Home Affairs has opened 188 Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) and Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs) under the jurisdiction of 20 Regional Passport Offices (RPOs) on Saturday, 3rd December 2022. Processing of passport applications under Tatkal and Normal scheme as per Passport Seva Portal.

Applicants willing to avail the services on 3rd December 2022 may check the link ‘Appointment Availability’ on the Passport Seva website (www.passportindia.gov.in) to book an appointment.
