Partition could have been avoided if Congress had followed Savarkar, says UP CM Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said that if the Congress had followed Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, the country’s partition could have been avoided.

Yogi also said that Savarkar’s vision can save the country from any future crisis. The Chief Minister was speaking at the release of the book ‘Veer Savarkar who could have prevented the Partition of India and his National Security Vision’ in Lucknow on the birth anniversary of Savarkar, in Lucknow.

In his address, Adityanath said that Savarkar did not get the respect he deserved. Instead of respecting him, Congress insulted him. Congress tried to insult every national hero including Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhimrao Ambedkar and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel,” he said.

“I think Savarkar’s approach to positive outlook is still relevant and it will remain relevant for years to come as it can prevent any tragedy like partition in India in future. If India is saved from any such tragedy If so, then the philosophy of Savarkar has to be accepted,” he said, calling Savarkar the ‘Mahanayak’ (hero) of the 20th century.
