ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Saturday rejected and strongly condemned the highly provocative and irresponsible remarks made by India’s Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, calling for “undoing” the partition. .

In a statement issued today, the Foreign Office said that this is not the first time that the RSS chief has publicly indulged in such misguided thinking and historical revisionism.

“Pakistan has repeatedly highlighted the threat to regional peace and stability from the toxic mix of extremist ‘Hindutva’ ideology (Hindu Rashtra) and expansionist foreign policy (Akhand Bharat) pursued by the ruling RSS-BJP government in India. Used to be.” said.

The Foreign Office said Pakistan has consistently opposed India’s hegemony and demonstrated determination to thwart any aggressive plans.

“Despite being committed to peace, the people and armed forces of Pakistan are fully capable of defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.”

It further said that those associated with the BJP and its ideological head RSS should refrain from making such provocative and irresponsible statements, accept the established realities and learn to abide by the imperative of peaceful coexistence.
