On Tuesday, when the camera panned at him during the first Pakistan vs Australia Test, he was found breaking into a jig while fielding.

He pulled off several dance moves including Bhangra while on the field and was at his finest as the match progressed to a draw.

In the match, opener Imam-ul-Haq scored a century in each innings for Pakistan as Australia could only manage four wickets on a humble pitch in the drawn first Test on Tuesday.

Imam scored 157 runs in his first Test since November 2019 with an unbeaten 111 in the declared first innings total of 476/4.

Imam’s opening partner, Abdullah Shafiq, also managed to register his maiden Test century and remained unbeaten on 136 as Pakistan took a 269-run lead on the fifth and final day at 252/0 in their second innings.

Both the teams mutually agreed to end the game with one hour left.

Shafiq hit 15 fours and a six in his innings of 242 balls, while Imam was more circumspect in extending his century and hit seven fours and two sixes in his 223-ball knock.

The second opening stand between Imam and Abdullah surpassed Pakistan’s previous best against Australia in 1964, when Khalid Ibadullah and Abdul Qadir scored 249 in Karachi.

Shafiq and Imam became the first Pakistani opening pair to score a century in each innings against Australia after combining 105 runs in the first innings.
