“There may be retaliation against the mother on the part of the father for ending the relationship, remarrying a new partner and forming a new family, and/or family court litigation,” the DVDRC said.

The DVDRC also detailed how Robin was unfaithful, untruthful about a variety of things, including not having a PhD and various degrees from universities.

The committee said police interviews with past partners indicated he was abusive and often saw several women at the same time.

He was also facing other stresses at the time of his death, including the failure of his engineering company.

“No one in his family was aware that he had a court-documented pattern of untruthfulness or that intimate partner violence had been reported against him by his previous partners.”

The DVDRC said at least 22 risk factors were present before the deaths, which is consistent with “predictable and preventable” cases.

The DVDRC issued recommendations to increase training for child support committees, lawyers, judges and mental health professionals when conducting custody assessments.
